Downtown Buda is the heart of the city, acting as a vibrant and welcoming gathering place for both residents and visitors. The Buda Downtown Master Plan presents an opportunity to shape the city’s future amidst the rapid growth of the Central Texas region. With the rise of hybrid work models and the increasing demand for spaces that support living, working, playing, and innovation, downtown Buda is poised to become an even more vital community asset. The 522-acre study area spans from Onion Creek to N. Cedar Street and from City Hall to just south of the Buda Mill & Grain Co. The Master Plan process focuses on understanding the unique needs and desires of downtown Buda’s residents, business owners, community members, and visitors. This insight helps guide the creation of project goals that align with the values of the community. A metrics-based approach is used to ensure that the plan is transparent, accountable, and results-driven, measuring the impact of proposed projects, plans, and policies.

As part of this ongoing work, Lionheart is advancing the Austin Street Reconstruction, which serves as a key implementation project from the Downtown Master Plan. This initiative brings the vision for a more connected, vibrant downtown closer to reality, supporting the city’s growth and enhancing the quality of life for its residents and visitors.
