When a local resident decided to build his dream home in the Starwood neighborhood, he turned to Lionheart (previously Connect One) to help him transform his property into a landscape ideally suited to his family’s lifestyle. The home is located in an existing clearing in a mature aspen grove. Great care was taken during the design process to create expansive and highly usable outdoor spaces for the family without undue disturbance to the surrounding forest.
Clean edges and a minimalist aesthetic in the constructed landscape help to emphasize the wild beauty of the surrounding natural vegetation. A large lawn creates a striking foreground to the aspen grove and also provides an expansive play area for the client’s children. The design gracefully accommodates all the amenities a young, active family will enjoy, including a pool and spa, basketball court, lawn games, and a tree fort.
