The City of Stephenville is experiencing a period of intense growth due to the expanding student body of Tarleton State University and the population boom that has been experienced across the state of Texas. To address this issue, Lionheart is leading the team through the creation of Stephenville 2050, a comprehensive plan that will guide development within the community and manage its resources for the next 25 years. Throughout this process, Lionheart is engaging the public through numerous focus groups and open houses to ensure the comprehensive plan addresses key issues and concerns.

Using resilience as a guiding principle, the plan will focus on creating infrastructure, natural systems, and social structures that are more durable to be able to withstand and recover from acute shocks and chronic stresses.  Lionheart understands that the type and location of development has a large impact on the cost of providing and maintaining high quality public services and infrastructure, such as streets, utilities, public safety services, and parks. The Stephenville 2050 Comprehensive Plan will ensure that as the city grows, that growth will be supported by fiscally sustainable policies and efficient development patterns.
